Pupil voice
SMART - St Martin’s Action and Response Teams
Pupil voice is important at St Martin’s and we are keen to ensure that all children have a voice and are involved in an aspect of school life.
At St Martin's all children are involved in a SMART. Each SMART is led by a teacher and takes responsibility for a different area. The children are allocated evenly between the teams. Each half-term the groups meet to discuss their area, give their ideas and identify some ways forward and actions to put in place. They will then help champion, promote and lead those actions.
There are 9 teams:
- Rights Respecting Schools,
- Eco school,
- Healthy school,
- Culture and diversity,
- The library,
- Health and safety,
- Wellbeing (mental health)/Zones,
- Presentation and tidiness,
- Outdoor learning.
