  • Year 2 and key stage 2 School walk route

    This is an 8 mile route which goes past the bays which we have named our houses - Fliquet, St Catherine's, Archirondel and Anne Port. We will have lunch at Anne Port. Year 2 will walk around 5 miles (stopping  at Anne Port), however there is an opportunity to continue if the children feel strong enough.

  • Scout Hut!

    The Year 6 class are enjoying their Scout Hut residential visit. This morning, they started the day with a Yoga session. What a great way to start the day.

    30 children from St Martin's took part in Jersey Sings. They had the opportunity to join with 600 other children from Jersey schools, a professional band and two amazing professional singers in a huge concert.

  • Dog news!

    Early this morning as Mrs Falle and Mrs Le Mercier arrived at school, they found a dog running around the road outside school. They managed to catch the dog and bought him inside school to look after him. We contacted Channel 103 and the Animal Shelter and we managed to find the owner and they were reunited before 8.15am! The Year 5 classteacher even used the missing dog as a stimulus for the children's writing this morning. He was well looked after by the teachers!

  • Prison Me no way!

    Year 6 had a visit from Prison Me No Way today. This is linked to our PSHE programme and the keeping safe aspect of the curriculum. Thank you to all the different support agencies for coming in to help us including Jersey Police, Fire and Rescue, Prison Service, First Aid, Water Safety and Road Safety.

    Monday 8th May was our Teaching Training Day (INSET) where we joined with Trinity School. We were delighted to welcome Jan Lever, the author of Jigsaw PSHE programme to deliver sessions about well being/mindfulness and Sex and Relationship Education.

  • Maths Puzzle Day

    Yesterday we had our Maths Puzzle Day. This was focusing on problem solving and reasoning in our maths curriculum. The children and teachers worked with Mr Parkinson, the Maths Advisor at the Education Department. They worked together in teams to solve different maths Puzzles. The Parents even had a go at the puzzles in a parent pop in at the end of the day.
